Stream Cleaning at The Cleeves - 10 June 2012

At the April Clean Up morning, we did a lot of good work to clear the stream by the road from the Long Bridgeto Upper Mill. But the feeded channel from the main river was clogged with vegetation and we didn't have permission to clear it.

So, having obtained the necessary permissions, we cleared the channel and did more work on the stream itself on 10 June 2012. The work was led by Graham Darrah and Paul Knipe. Thanks go to them and to their helpers, Mary Jo Darrah, Nigel Goodliffe, Christopher Duxbury, Jonathan Frere, Harry Johnston and Jeremy Barber. We cleared some tons of vegetation which Paul carted away and it was good to see the stream flowing again as it has in the past.
