The draft Parish Plan is now on the website www.longparish.org.uk and there are copies in the shop and the pubs. You can also ask members of the steering group. Please let Fiona Gould have any comments by 6 th May so that the final draft is ready for the Annual Parish Meeting on 14 th May
Longparish Playgroup has had a big boost this Spring. It's received an extremely encouraging report from the OFSTED inspector. Her conclusions point out the high quality of care that children receive at the playgroup, especially in the development of their maths, literacy and creative skills.
Staff are delighted with the report which says the curriculum is particularly well planned' with a good range of activities'. And the inspector is impressed by the strong relationship that exists between staff and parents.
She has, however, suggested the children should have some of their own climbing equipment with which to improve their large physical skills'. Steps have already been taken to sort that out. (See the report below.)

Thank you very much to everyone who supported our three London Marathon runners. All three successfully completed the run, Alice and Jonathan in under three hours and Jeremy in a bit over four. The total pledged is now over £3,000 and rising.
The appeal is still open so it is not too late to give. You can get a form from Maggie Barber or the village website and you can give securely on line by visiting www.justgiving.com/HelpLongparishPlaygroup
