From 14th August Hampshire County Council will be working on strengthening the three bridges beyond Upper Mill and the road will be closed to vehicular traffic and pedestrians from Upper Mill to beyond the last bridge. There will be access from the B3048 to Upper Mill. The Cleeves will be able to be approached by car from Nuns' Walk or by footpath 3 opposite Broadacre.
Footpath 11 from the bridge behind Longparish House to Upper Mill should be usable for most of the time, but for short periods it may be impossible to get out by Upper Mill, and it is hoped to put up a notice when this occurs..
The closure is expected to be for about 6 months, although the closure application is for 18 months to allow for contingencies.
If you have any queries about the closure please contact Mr Ray Alborough, telephone 01264 368724 on behalf of the Head of Technical Services

The book of all the comments appreciative of John's service and a lovely bouquet of flowers for Mary were also presented.
