Race Report

It was a bright, sunny, good-to-be-alive morning for the January race but icy roads meant that our runners had to prioritise personal safety over speed so most were well outside their target times

We welcomed new runners Natalie Morley and Kathy Ellis. As often happens with new runners, both significantly underestimated their ability with Kathy finishing in first place over 11 minutes faster than her prediction. Mr Handicap will sort that out next time.

But you don't qualify for the trophies off an estimated handicap. Adam Priestley was our Most Improved Man in second place and Laura Reynolds was Most Improved Lady. Well done both!

Trophy winners Adam and Laura

Thanks very much to Maggie Barber, Andy Smith, Claire and Sarah Collier and David Gould for helping and the Cricket Club for the lovely venue.

Covid permitting, our next event is on Sunday 13th February at 10am. New runners are always welcome. You don't have to be fast. Please do give me a call or drop me an email if you'd like to join us.

We issue a monthly email invitation a few days before each race and very occasional other emails. Please follow this link https://tinyurl.com/yygolzdb to be added to our Mail Chimp list. Some email systems may treat your first email as spam so please look out for it and add us to your trusted list.
